After traveling cross-country to be together, Niharika and Chris were married in a beautiful ceremony at a California winery. The bride looked gorgeous in Paloma Blanca Style 4352, for her second ceremony in this two day celebration. We caught up with Niharika to hear more about her special day:
How did Chris propose?
Chris and I were on vacation with my family for a close family friend's college graduation. He had coordinated the proposal with my family and while on campus, everyone pretended to pose for pictures when he got down on one knee. My family had confetti poppers with them and they set them off when I said yes.
How did you know your dress was “the one”?
I found my dress at the second bridal shop I went to and after trying on a few dozen dresses. It was the first dress that I wore where I felt so comfortable and could move around without feeling restricted, while also feeling glamorous.
What inspired your wedding day theme?
Since I am Indian, we wanted to blend the two cultures and celebrate our differences. The colors for the wedding were inspired by Indian clothing and we used bright jewel tones. I had also got henna on my hands the prior day, which was a contrast against my dress.
What is your favourite wedding day memory?
Being at the reception and seeing all our family and friends enjoying themselves, mingling amongst themselves and making new relationships. We felt very fortunate to be surrounded by so much love.
Thank you, Niharika, for sharing your wedding day with us!
