COUPLE’S WEDDING STORY:
I met Trey when we were in high school when I moved to North Carolina from Alabama. Later on down the road, we reconnected and he asked me to be his date to his cousins wedding… we’ve been inseparable since our first date!
I will never forget our engagement. It was February 14, 2018, I came home from work to see Trey was already home, which was weird he was home before me. I walked inside to a quiet home, another weird thing because our puppy always greets us at the gate when we walk inside. When I got up the stairs, Reagan, our puppy, came running down the hallway with a present around her neck and he was all dressed up. I finally got the present and started to open it. In the box was a beautiful charm bracelet he had made. Each charm had something written on it. The first one I read say “2/14/18,” the second one said, “I love you! -Trey,” and the last one said “Will you marry me?” When I looked up, I saw him down on one knee. We called our families to tell them the exciting news! He had a whole evening planned. We had an amazing dinner with our close friends at our favorite restaurant. It was unforgettable.
I loved dress shopping with my mom, mother in law, cousin, and Trey’s aunt, I just wish my Meme and Aunt were able to be there as I said “yes” to the dress. As soon as I tried on this dress I knew it was the one. I felt so gorgeous, like a complete princess, and it was comfortable! The BEST part was the pockets!!
Planning the wedding was so exciting! From venue hunting, to carefully planning our ceremony, picking out bridesmaids dresses – it all was so exciting! Our wedding was everything I dreamed about and more. It was truly a fairytale wedding. I wish I could go back to our wedding day. It really does go so fast. We had an awesome band, Joe Brown & the Band, 200 people and it was an the best party!!
The best part of the whole day was being able to call Trey my husband!
