Josh and I went to high school together but we didn’t really remember too much of each other. It wasn’t until a few years later when we were both at an ATV event that we connected. We would see each other out and about after that but I never really thought of it. Josh kept trying and finally I thought why not give him a try and now here we are. I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
When he proposed, it all started as a normal Friday on a hot August day and I had plans to go to the beach with Josh’s mom Cindi. There was nothing out of the ordinary as we almost always spent our Fridays at the beach. As we were on the way there, we changed our mind and decided to get manis and pedis instead. We did some shopping and had lunch down by Saybrook Point Inn. We finally got back to our apartment and before I knew it, Josh’s father, brother, and sister in law show up. Of course nothing out of the ordinary. We planned on taking a family boat ride since Josh was getting out early. He finally got home and we all cracked a cold one out on our deck when all of a sudden he got down on one knee! I thought he was joking until I saw the ring, it completely took me by surprise I almost forgot to say “Yes” when he proposed. It couldn’t have been a more perfect proposal.
