I had such a hard time finding my dress. I got engaged in Paris and in true fashion, the first and only thing I wanted to do when I returned was to start shopping! I had always pictured myself in a specific type of dress so I assumed it would be easy. Trying to please everyone around me, I went to multiple bridal stores, trying on everything that was handed to me. I quickly got overwhelmed and started to think I would never find something I loved. One day, I walked into Avenue 22 Bridal and saw the Mikaella gown on a mannequin. I hadn’t even tried it on yet and I knew that was the one! It was the only dress I tried on that day, and I just fell in love. I knew it was just perfect.
My wedding day was breathtaking, truly (I guess I’m a bit biased). Given my soon to be married name, White, we all found it a bit comical that in November, God found a way to bless us with a snow storm. I don’t think I’ve ever been happier so see snow! It was perfect. The Doctor’s House was covered in a layer of snow that just made everything so much more magical for us.
Ever since I met Matthew, I knew he was it for me. As cheesy as that sounds. I really mean it. Matthew and I met at work, at Toronto Pearson airport and of course, thought the travel theme was more than appropriate for our wedding. He is the kindest, most incredible person I know.
I am so incredibly lucky to have had a beautiful wedding, a gorgeous day and the BEST party! I hope to one day be able to pass on my dress to my future daughter.
