Colin and I met 7 years ago and immediately knew we found our person. He surprised me and we got engaged in October of 2020 on a hike through the autumn leaves in Ohio. Shortly after we set our wedding date for August 2022. Then the surprise of our life came when we found out we were pregnant with twins in May 2021. Planning a wedding and becoming a new twin mom was a challenge, but we had absolutely no regrets and were so fortunate to have an amazing wedding planner, Alyssa Thomas, to make our dream wedding come true!
The dress was probably the one part of the wedding that I was most anxious about because I had to find my dress while I was 5 months pregnant. The Mikaella dress was the third dress I tried and it made me feel so confident, that I knew it was the one! The material was amazing and the cut hit all the right places for my new curves, so much so that my weight change did not effect the dress finding experience for me. I paired it with a long veil that had a simple floral design, which matched our elegant modern boho wedding theme.
