Conor and I met in 2010 while working our university jobs at the Alberta Legislature. After 4 years of friendship, we decided to step it up to the “next level” in 2014. Fast forward 5 more years of dating and we were finally ready to tie the knot on July 6th, 2019.
Three things that we knew we wanted for our wedding were: choosing local vendors and services, focusing the celebrations on our families, and having brunch! I’m happy to report that we achieved all three things and had a blast doing so! We got married in my hometown on Vancouver Island and invited our families to celebrate with us in a morning ceremony and brunch reception. The promise of eggs benedict and fresh waffles brought friends and family from multiple provinces and countries to Campbell River, some of whom had not seen each other in way too long. With my beautiful Mikaella gown, my best friend/new husband by my side, and the love of my families surrounding me, I felt like the most gorgeous version of myself and had, without exaggerating, the funnest day of my life! I wouldn’t change a thing xoxo
