Nick and I met on Bumble and to our surprise, fell in love incredibly quickly! From our first date, we both knew we had found the person we wanted to spend forever with. Nine months later, Nick surprised me with the most beautiful proposal and I couldn’t believe my luck – that I really was going to spend forever with my soul mate.
The run up to our wedding day was so uncertain with the Covid situation. The UK restrictions meant that weddings were completely cancelled a few months before our wedding day, but we wanted to persevere and try and get married no matter what, hoping and praying that restrictions would change in our favour. Amazingly, restrictions changed and allowed for weddings of 15 people in October. Although our original plans were to have over 100 guests at our wedding, we managed to change plans and have an intimate family wedding which was absolutely perfect. We were able to live stream our wedding so that everyone could still be part of our day from afar, and some friends and neighbours still came to see us outside of the church from a distance which made our day all the more special. Looking back, we wouldn’t change a thing. We are so grateful we were able to get married and we will always remember the 17th October 2020 as the best day of our lives, despite the pandemic and the restrictions that came with it.
My Mikaella dress was perfect! I found it and fell in love with it on my very first dress shopping appointment at May & Grace. I felt so comfortable and confident in it, and wish I could wear it all over again! It wasn’t the style that I had imagined I would go for, but I knew it was the perfect dress for me as soon as I saw myself in it. Thank you so much for my dream wedding dress!
