I still think of my dress almost daily and how much I love it. There is an extra story behind my dress that I would like to share with you as well – this was my second dress. My first dress came in 6 inches shorter than the sample and was too short for me to wear (showed up to my ankles). This was not a Mikaella Bridal gown. The original dress maker issued a full refund for the mistake but this left me with 4 months to spare before my wedding.
I found this dress in Raleigh and it was the last dress I tried on. The consultant originally showed it to me and I said it was WAY too plain. At the end of the session, she asked again if I would try it on just so she could see it on a live person, so I did. And I fell in love, hard. It was everything I had ever imagined and more. The simplicity of it is exactly what makes it a timeless beauty. I don’t think I will ever look at photos and question what I was thinking. I am so thankful that the first dress was not meant to be, because I could not adore MY dress any more! Thank you for contributing to our special day and making me feel beautiful.
