Jonathan and I met working at the same restaurant while I was in college! I was the hostess and he was a server and the rest is history! Because of Covid, Jonathan’s original plans to propose got postponed so when we took a spontaneous family trip to Branson, Missouri he asked for my parents permission and proposed to me! It was so simple, private, and I was truly surprised.
When shopping for my dress I traveled to other states trying to find the perfect dress. After 6 bridal shops I was about to give up until my mom suggested we make a stop at Cloud Nine Bridal Boutique on our way home from Ohio after a long weekend of dress shopping. After trying on tons of beautiful dresses I fell in love with a beautiful A-Line gown with a long beautiful skirt, but my mom and the bridal stylist were not convinced and brought me a beautiful Mikaella gown. After convincing me to put on the dress, I walked out and my moms eyes filled with tears! We all knew in that moment it was THE dress! To make it even better, the owner of the boutique contacted Mikaella Bridal about purchasing the tulle that was similar to my “almost” dress so that I would be able to have the best of both worlds and have an overskirt.
Jonathan was surprised to see me with an A-line gown as he was convinced I would have chosen a more fitted dress, little did he know that after dinner I would surprise him for our first dance by removing my overskirt and showcasing my AMAZING Mikaella wedding dress! Everyone including my now husband were in awe of the dress! I could not have picked a more beautiful gown for my wedding day!
