I met David in the Summer of 2012. We found ourselves on the set of a TV show that we both hadn’t planned on working on – fate perhaps? After many hot summer days on set, I had a crush on David. A mutual friend helped make my crush obvious to David and he took the reins. The rest was history!
In September 2017, we took a trip to stay at my family cottage in Fredericton, New Brunswick. After a family BBQ, we took a sunset paddle in the dingy on the water. David started munching on Kinder Egg chocolate. I saw this and wanted a piece of it – of course, as per usual! He knew I would ask. Luckily, he brought an extra Kinder Egg with him on the boat – a special one just for me. I opened it and inside the egg lay a ring with a note, “Will you marry me?”
When all the wedding planning started, I took my closest friends and family with me to help me find my perfect wedding dress. I tried on 4 wedding dresses before I found this one. Each one had something that just didn’t feel right. My cousin (also my MOH) picked out this Mikaella dress and as soon as I stepped inside it, she started to tear up. I started to cry along with her and as she zipped the dress, we both knew it was THE ONE.
On the day of my wedding, my cousin attached 2 special things on the inside of my dress. One was a bow from a sweater my mom made me as a baby (something blue). The other was a piece of my grandmothers wedding dress given to me by one of my other cousins. I felt like a true princess in my dress. What I loved about it was that not only did I feel super beautiful, I could also easily dance with my gal pals all night long! Thank you Mikaella Bridal for making me feel so good while I married my very best friend!
