Richard and I met at work after we both moved down to Louisiana. Friendship turned to romance and we were together for 3 years before getting engaged. Richard proposed to me during a beautiful sunset on a secluded bluff over looking the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We knew from the get go we wanted to do a small destination wedding and we finally landed on Positano, Italy on the Amalfi Coast to pay homage to Richard’s southern Italian heritage.
Dress shopping was fun but I wasn’t finding what I had envisioned. I was all but defeated when my amazing dress consultant said she had a dress she just KNEW I would love and begged me to try just one more on. I put on the Mikaella 2107 and it was the first time I felt like a bride. It was exactly what I wanted. Simple, yet detailed in surprising ways. Form fitting, but with plenty of give to move and sit. And a material that would not get crazy wrinkled during our 8+ hour flight to Italy.
The wedding was a dream and truly flawless. We spent a large amount of time walking through the streets (and many steps!) of Positano. The ceremony was then held on a terrace over looking the sea with a dinner on the outside patio of the hotel. We spent this joyous day with 23 amazing souls who flew all the way to Italy to be a part of this day and helped make it truly special.
