The weather the week following up to the wedding was less than ideal. Being in a coastal town so close to water, you get used to fog, however not when you don’t have a backup plan to your spectacular lighthouse wedding venue. I trusted my local family of fisherman who told me Saturday would be a beautiful day. Lots of rain, fog, and a bee sting on my ring finger the night before was not going to stop us! Just as the trusty fisherman said, the fog cleared to gorgeous blue sky and a breeze that elevated every wedding photo we got with my veil. The rest of the day/night was perfect and we wished it never ended.
I went shopping at the Bridal Boutique in Calgary, Alberta. I told her what I was looking for, and the fit I wanted. She pulled a few dresses and put me in style 2328 for the very first gown. I fell in love. I tried others after, but none compared to style 2328. I put the dress on for a second time and said yes to the dress. Never thought I would buy the first dress I tried on!
