We were from the same small hometown, but four years apart so we never overlapped. Mutual friends told us to look out for each other in Dallas but neither of us thought much of it. Then one day we ran into each other and here we are!
The Mikaella dress I chose was the very first dress that I tried on! I put it on and started crying because I just couldn’t wait to marry Scott in that dress.
He proposed a little under two years after we met and we planned our wedding for May 16, 2020. When the pandemic hit and it became clear that we weren’t going to be able to have our wedding, we decided that no matter what we were going to get married that day! The church that we had originally planned on having our ceremony at graciously allowed us to use the space to get married. We were able to have our parents and a very few close friends and it was perfect. We had a parade in the rain afterwards and although not what we planned, it was more than we ever dreamed.
