Dean and I met through a mutual friend during undergrad while attending Clemson University (Go Tigers!). Because it is where our relationship began, that is where Dean decided to propose. At Clemson, there is a park where it is rumored that if you walk through it hand in hand with your loved one, you are destined to be married. Dean had a friend lure me to Clemson and surprised me by taking me on a scavenger hunt including places that were important to us during our time there. The hunt ended at the park where our families literally jumped out of the bushes to greet us after he had popped the question.
Next came picking the dress, and I had made a ton of appointments to check out dresses. When I arrived to my first appointment at The Dress, I picked out a few dresses but didn’t love anything just yet. Then the owner remembered a dress she had just gotten in to the store that she still had in the back. She brought it out for me, and I had a “this is the one” moment.
The wedding itself was a beautiful day full of friends and family. We incorporated Swedish traditions and Filipino traditions into our ceremony to truly make it represent us. We had great food, danced a ton, and got to spend one of the most important days of our lives with family and friends. I felt beautiful throughout the night thanks to my gorgeous dress!
