Brandon and I met while working at his family business (Hank DeKoning Meats). I worked there for 6 months and he finally gained the courage to ask me out. We date for a total of 6.5 years and then he finally popped the question on November 8th, 2019.
I quickly went into planning mode and booked a venue, secured catering, got my dress, etc. Then… COVID hit. We had to change our plans many times… I think a total of 4.We had planned a large 200+ wedding which now could not happen. We know we didn’t want to postpone so we ended up having a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Whistling Gardens with 65 of our closest family and friends and a small outdoor reception with 25 people at my parents house. It was a beautiful intimate day with our closest family and friends.
