Kevin and I met on Bumble and immediately hit it off over brunch in East Lansing, Michigan. I was finishing up undergrad at Michigan State University and he previously graduated there a few years prior. I was immediately drawn to Kevin’s quick wit and humor. He says he loved my infectious smile and quirky personality. We quickly fell in love over many camping and hiking trips, football games, and spending time cooking together.
It wasn’t long before our relationship became bittersweet- Kevin was accepted to PA school in Illinois. I knew our love was special and without a hint of hesitation we knew we would make it work. In spite of the challenges of distance, seeing each other for 2 days at a time, followed by weeks to months of separation, we continued to grow together.
A year in his program, Kevin was fortunate enough to secure a clinical rotation in Michigan, and in the city we fell in love in, Kevin proposed on June 17th, 2018. I knew that Kevin was the one long before that day.
When I tried on my wedding dress, I knew it was the one because it was timeless, modern, complementary, and (very) comfortable all wrapped into one gorgeous gown. It was perfect.
Kevin and I exchanged vows at his private family cabin, surrounded by 48 of our closest family and friends. It was magical and I wish I could relive the day over and over again. Because of COVID-19, we weren’t able to celebrate like we originally planned but it was still so special. We are so grateful to our friends, family, and vendors who worked so hard to make this day possible.
