Joel and I met in our final year of school back in 2009. After nearly 10 years of very patiently waiting, Joel proposed in early 2018. Knowing that I am very much an introvert, Joel thoughtfully created a restaurant in our home, complete with a 3 course home cooked meal and a beautiful proposal to top it all off. As is the nature of our relationship, we took our time planning our wedding and decided on February 2020 as our wedding date.
I found my dress at a boutique close to my home. It just happened to be a Mikaella/Paloma Blanca trunk show at the boutique that day and I had pretty much decided on a Mikaella dress until my consultant convinced me to try on one last dress – a beautiful Paloma Blanca dress, which I fell in love with straight away. I love how it is elegant and timeless, whilst being unique and eye-catching. I will treasure my dress forever.
Our wedding day was a dream, the most perfect day we could have ever wished for. A beautiful, sunny day with not a breath of wind, after a summer filled with horrifying bushfires all over Australia. Surrounded by our friends and family, I married my high school sweetheart.
