Gaines and I met in 2008 at a summer camp outside of Birmingham, AL and after 8 years of staying in touch we finally starting dating. Timing is everything. Gaines proposed to me on a vacation out in Temecula, CA at Wiens Family Cellars. It was only fitting we chose a winery for our wedding venue.
When we could finally start tracking the weather 20 days out from the wedding day, all we saw in the forecast was rain and our hopes of getting married outside in the vines were quickly diminishing as the days got closer. The weather that morning in the North Georgia mountains was dreary – rainy, windy and cold just like the weather had forecasted. As soon as Gaines and I arrived at Yonah Mountain Vineyards in the early afternoon, the sky opened up and we were blessed with blue skies for the afternoon and a stunning sunset to end the evening. Despite the scare of rain we were reminded that God is faithful and present in every moment of our lives. We truly had the best day ever celebrating with friends and family.
My Paloma Blanca gown was incredible and I spent half the day spinning in the ruffles!
