We originally were planning to get married on April 18th, 2020, but of course plans changed with the pandemic.
About 4 weeks before we were supposed to get married, the CDC announced no large gatherings, and Louisiana went on lockdown. So plans were changed and we decided on a fall wedding to allow for this crazy world to calm down.
We ended up getting married in my uncle’s backyard so that we could keep our anniversary date the same, but the big wedding was postponed to November. Fast forward to November 2020. Everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong. Groomsmen, bridesmaids, junior bridesmaids, and ring bearers decided to not come to the wedding on top of last minute COVID tests and missing suits. Back up ring bearers were invited and bridal party was shifted around.
But when 5:30pm rolled around on Friday, November 13th, 2020, the whole world stopped. As I walked down the aisle with my dad and saw my husband standing at the altar, nothing else mattered. Our day was finally here. The day we had been planning for close to 2.5 years. The rest of the night was absolutely perfect and totally worth the wait.
