Scott and I got engaged in 2019 on his birthday! We had been together for six years at that time, so he had to do it on a day where I would for sure be surprised! It was perfect, and then we enjoyed 3 more years of being engaged by buying our first townhouse and getting our puppy Sitka all during COVID.
When choosing my wedding dress, I went to two different stores. The first I found beautiful dresses but none of them were ‘the one’. We then went to The White Peony in Victoria, and me and my bridal party/family knew almost instantly once I tried on my dress.
Scott and I moved into our forever home in summer 2022. We wanted a really low key wedding, so we decided to have it in our backyard. We kept it really small with our closest friends and family, and we’re so happy we made that decision. We had the best time and we really got to enjoy each other’s company and didn’t feel overwhelmed. Our wedding ended with the best dance party under our pergola in our backyard, we all had so much fun!
