Peter and I met during preseason of college our freshman year. Peter knew that he was going to marry me the first time he ever saw me. Ten years later, we said our vows in front of all of our close family and friends.
Dress shopping was an absolute dream. I went to Thornbury Brides in New Bern, NC. As soon as she put me in this dress I knew it was the one, and so did my family. I had a couple of customizations made, I added a crepe bow to the back and also had the sides, which are open in this style, closed. Paloma Blanca did an amazing job with the customizations and the dress fit like a glove. I wanted something comfortable and classic, and that’s exactly what I got. I wore the dress throughout the entire reception and danced the night away in it.
We got married at the Core Sound Waterfowl Museum in Harkers Island, NC, which features a lot of artifacts and exhibits from my family. We were married outside under the oak trees, and the weather was absolutely perfect. The day truly was the best day of our lives. It couldn’t have been more special.
