If you have shopped for a wedding dress, you know there are so. Many. Dresses! High necklines, low necklines, strapless dresses, form fitting, backless – there are a lot to choose from. Eventually, you will find your perfect gown! But what do you wear under your wedding dress? That will depend on your comfort level, desired support, and the dress itself. We have put together a few suggestions below based on common wedding dress features!
Plunging Necklines
Does your gown feature a gorgeous plunge that would also show off the gore from your favourite bra? Find something with a plunge built into it, or even try body tape!

Strapless Gowns
A strapless bra is a fashion staple. But you will want to make sure you choose a support level that is perfect for your wedding day, so you will most likely have to stray from your run of the mill strapless undergarment.

Low Front/Back Necklines
If your gown has a low back and low front, you will not only need a plunge on your undergarment, but a low enough back for your dress as well. Search for a backless undergarment or convertible straps.

Invisible Bras
You might have even picked a wedding dress that would cover any bra you normally wear, but what if there are no embellishments like lace or beading on the bodice? You are going to need to look for something seamless or invisible that perfectly fits you. Gaping cups or thick straps will be visible under smooth fabrics like Satin or Crêpe.

This is in no way a full list. There are as many undergarment options as there are gowns! We ultimately recommend speaking to your bridal consultant for their advice, as they will have a good idea what kind of underwear, bra, or shapewear will work best with your figure and your dress, and where to get it.
