Alison and Clinton

Clinton  and I were set up on a blind date. He picked me up and we went to a little beach in my hometown. Little did I know that I would fall in love on that  night and start our journey together. On our 1 year anniversary, Clinton proposed downtown Toronto in the music garden. We always knew we wanted a small intimate wedding. We began our  search in Niagara-on-the-lake because we had so many amazing memories wine tasting, strolling Picton street and walks by the lake. The Pillar and Post was the perfect venue! We set our date for July 7, 2017 which was important to me as it was also my parents 27th anniversary. We decided to get married in the beautiful and quaint Rose Garden and then to have our reception in the Upper Canada Ball Room. We had the most beautiful day surrounded by 70 of our closest friends and family.
 
The dress was a huge aspect of the day. I wanted something classic. One day while browsing some shops, Clinton and I came across a bridal store. Overly excited, I decided to go in and tried on Mikaella #2012. It was the first dress that caught my eye and the first wedding dress I ever tried on.  Hesitant, I came out and showed Clinton. His jaw hit the floor. His reaction was so much more than I could have ever expected, even others in the Bridal  Salon were taken aback. Once I started my real dress hunt with my Mom, I knew that I had to try that dress on again. Every time I had it on I felt even more beautiful and knew that is what I wanted to marry my best friend in. It was difficult to keep it a secret, but seeing Clinton's face for our first  look made it all worthwhile. He could not believe that I chose the dress that he had been picturing me in all this time. I paired my dress with a long veil from Kleinfeld's Hudson's Bay which shimmered in the summer sunlight and a simple tear drop stud earring.
 

Clinton and I had an absolutely perfect day with the most perfect dress.  Thank you so much Mikaella Bridal!
