When Sam and I got engaged, I knew the biggest decision after finding our venue would be finding my dress. Walking into i do... i do... in Morristown, NJ, I had a pretty good idea of what I was looking for. After trying on several of the same type of dress and liking but not loving how I felt in them, I asked my consultant if I could see one with a slit, just to see. She immediately brought me the Paloma Blanca 5011. It hadn't been The Dress for anyone yet, but she thought I might like it. On the hanger, it looked elegant but fun, which was the ideal vibe for our wedding. When I tried it on, I knew it was my dress. The thin straps, the plunging neckline, the smooth hug of the crepe, the sweet touch of flowers, the slightly sassy slit... it all felt like ME. I still slept on it for a few days, but my mind kept going back to it. It was definitely the one. I was so excited to wear it for my wedding, and on the day, I was so in love with it, I never changed into my reception outfit. It breaks my heart a bit that I'll never wear it again, but it's been cleaned and preserved and will hopefully bring someone down the line as much joy as it brought me.
