Anna and Alex

Alex and I met in the 4th grade! We grew up together, our lives intertwined. I always thought he was cute, we were friendly but never anything more. We grew apart when we went to different universities. Then, I ran into him when I got my first nursing job and he was working at the hospital for a school co-op. We quickly fell back into the old friendship, but something was different.
Our first date, we closed down the restaurant then went to a local coffee shop that was open late. We didn’t want to stop talking. Our second date, we closed the restaurant, and stay up until sunrise, again, didn’t want to stop talking. I knew early on that he was special; I had never connected with anyone that effortlessly before.
We’ve grown up together, and helped each other grow. I’m so proud of how our relationship only strengthens as we grow individually. I can’t wait to see where our future takes us.
We got married in Alex’s childhood home. It was so special. The same place we had our second date, and spent the entire night talking by the fireplace.
