Camila and Derek

We first met on our first day of high school. We were friends for a year, and both realized how much love we had for each other and the rest was history. We graduated high school, both went to university in our hometown, bought our first house and adopted our furbaby together all in the span of 8 years leading up to our wedding day.

Derek proposed during a photoshoot we had planned for family pictures with our fur baby Beau. At the end of the photoshoot, I took a solo shot looking into the distance and when I turned around, in front of me was Derek on one knee asking me to marry him! He proposed in one of our favourite parks in our hometown that had a lot of meaning to us as a couple.

The Mikaella dress was the first dress I tried on! And after many other dresses I tried on (30+ dresses),I came right back to the Mikaella dress. It fit my body so well and made me feel so confident. I felt like a Disney princess and knew this was the only dress I could get married in.

Our wedding day was beautiful. In the heart of Kananaskis in the forest and mountains surrounded by all our friends and family. It was the best day of our lives and we will never forget all the memories that were made that day.
