My husband and I grew up 5 minutes from one another, went to the same elementary school as well as high school. He is 5 years older than me but I always had a crush on him, since I was a little girl. We dated when I was 18, but the timing just wasn't right and we were looking for different things at that time, so we went out separate ways.

Six years passed and I flew home from Saskatchewan to visit while waiting for another job to start and ran into him. Needless to say, I never made it to the other job and we have been inseparable since that day, I wasn't going to let him get away again. I truly believe what's meant to be will always find a way, timing is everything. This man has changed my life in the best way possible and made all of my dreams come true, we make a great team.

In 2014, I was diagnosed with a very rare progressive liver disease and he has been by my side through every doctors appointment and procedure I've undergone. He is my greatest support, my best friend, my comfort and my home.

He proposed to me in 2016 during one of my best friends wedding. We had just stepped off tall ship Silva onto the Halifax waterfront for the bride to toss the bouquet at which point he got down on one knee and popped the question after a nervous speech and completely caught me off guard.

I decided to go dress shopping on my birthday and ended up getting the very first dress I tried on, no dress I tried on after compared to the way my Mikaella Bridal dress made me feel. Although it was over the budget we decided on, I couldn't picture myself walking down the aisle in anything else. After a quick phone call to my husband, it was mine.

On April 18, 2018 we got married at the Grand Palladium in Jamaica, and it was breathtaking... truly a dream come true. We now have three kids and have bought our forever home in our hometown. Life is crazy hectic and full of chaos, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
