Elissa and Arthur

We met onstage! We're both performers and we did several shows together before AJ finally convinced me to start dating him in 2016. I claimed I just wanted to be single, but I couldn't stay away. He swept me off my feet! We got engaged on his birthday in 2018, where he surprised me with all of our family and friends at our favorite restaurant.

We planned for a Fall 2020 wedding, but that was postponed due to Covid. We did marry on our original 2020 date, and saved all of our traditional wedding plans for our rescheduled 2021 date. The process wasn't easy at all, just like every other couple affected by the pandemic. We switched venues with less than 90 days to go, and needed a new florist less than 3 weeks before the big day! But every single moment of planning was worth it to finally have our dream day!

There was nothing like finally seeing my husband's reaction to me in my dream wedding gown. He had been waiting for so long since everything had been postponed. When we finally enjoyed our first dance, we were literally floating on a cloud. AJ and I could not have dreamed of a more perfect day!
