We met at our wedding location, Fort Henry National Historic Site, over 10 years ago working a summer job. After 4 years of friendship we began dating and the rest is history. Our original plan wasn’t to get married at the place where we met, but when we toured the modern lakeside venue, we knew that it was the perfect space to celebrate with our family and friends. We are both only children, so being surrounded by our best friends (de-facto siblings) and families on this day was so perfect.

Originally, I had wanted a completely different style dress. An A-line silhouette without any lace or embellishment, but my amazing bridal consultant pulled this one as the wild card! I felt so elegant and glamourous in this one I could not stop smiling – it was perfect! I didn’t want a veil to hide the back so the bridal shop created a cape for me and it was the perfect addition to a perfect dress
