Emily and Pawel

Pawel and I got engaged in the summer of 2017. We had been dating for about 4 years prior to that. We were in Colorado hiking the Red Rocks Amphitheater when he proposed, just the two of us, it was perfect! We decided to wait 2 years to get married as I had gone back to school and my brother was getting married the following year.

We had our wedding in Chicago, which is where we met and where Pawel's family mostly lives. I found my wedding dress at a boutique store near my parents' house in Connecticut. I knew I wanted something classic and elegant. I was getting frustrated with the process and didn't actually think I would ever find "the one". But when I put this dress on, the very last one I was planning to try that day, I knew I had found it and started crying.

Our wedding day was perfect. It was a cold, but sunny November day, after a dreary week of below freezing temperatures and horrible wind chill. We were blessed to have nearly all our friends and family travel to join us and couldn't be happier with how wonderful it was!
