We met at prom my freshman year of high school when he came as a guest with a friend (our high schools were both very small, so we got to invite friends from rival schools to be “guests”). Though we didn’t start dating until my senior year of high school, we had become friends over the years. We continued dating throughout college, but it was during graduate school in New Orleans that he asked me to be his wife one rainy, summer morning in Audubon Park.

We decided to get married the following summer at Dunleith Historic Inn in Natchez, Mississippi. I knew I had to choose a classic dress for such a beautiful location. So when I saw this dress hanging on display, I just knew it would be the perfect one for our happy day.
