Madeleine’s Daughter Bridal

Troy from Solare

I met Joe at Portsmouth Brewery eating a taco and we’ve been inseparable since our first date. I’m a Yankees fan, he’s a Sox fan. I love the Giants & he loves the Pats. Despite our “differences” we’re on the same wavelength. When we want something we go all in and that’s been our story. It’s cliche but we’re best friends who are crazy about each other.

]I’ll never forget our engagement. I came home from work to meet Joe on our roof deck for lunch. When I got up there, he was all dressed up and got down on one knee. He asked me to marry him and gave me a journal that he had been writing in since our first date. He documented everything (so cute). We called our families and he had a limo waiting downstairs (with a bottle of Dom chilling). We took the limo for a ride and he had a whole evening planned in Boston. We went to a Sox game, had a fancy dinner and the next day we went to Bermuda. It was unforgettable.

I really loved dress hunting with my mom. As soon as I tried on this dress I knew it was the one. I felt so gorgeous with the open back and it was comfortable! That was a high priority for me.

Planning the wedding was a blast. Every part of it. From going to wedding band showcases and venue hunting (we knew the minute we got to Flag Hill it’s where we wanted to get married) to carefully planning our ceremony – it all was a blast. The day truly exceeded all expectations. From getting ready with my bridesmaids to saying “I Do” everything was a blur. I wish I could have bottled up time. It really does go so fast. We had an awesome band, 200+ people and it was an epic party.

The best part of the day was being able to call Joe my husband.
