Zach and I met in high school. We ran in a lot of the same circles – both of us were on the cross country team, we went to the same church, and even ended up at the same university – but we never dated. It wasn’t until the COVID pandemic that we reconnected through running – it was the only option for exercise when all the gyms were closed! We saw each other on the same running trail in Dallas and decided to catch up… as friends. After spending time together, something just clicked. Why hadn’t we dated?!

Between trips to new cities, evenings at the dog park, moving in together and trying every new restaurant that opens in Dallas, Zach and I have spent the last year and a half living our best lives. We never fail to make each other laugh, support each other during hard times, and pet our dog Cleo at all moments in between. It didn’t take long for me to know that he was the one.

We married on April 8 in the heart of Downtown Dallas – the place that brought us together in love after nearly a decade of friendship. We celebrated our love among our friends and family in the city we love so dearly, with the skyline as our backdrop. My Paloma Blanca gown was the perfect fit for our classic, city-sleek wedding, and the bow was the just the right pop of fun I was looking for.
