We met in a bar 10 years ago, a year after dating we moved in together, 3 years ago we got our little baby, our mini dachshund called Lollie, and 2 years ago in June 2016, Kit proposed to me and whisked me away to The Shard in London for champagne.

A year before the wedding my maid of honor and I went hunting for my perfect dress, I didn’t expect to find it on my first attempt! We went to Helena Fortley in Caterham and Sally, the owner, couldn’t have been nicer! She catered for my every need and said “Tell me what you like and don’t like in a dress,” well after a long conversation, she pointed me to the rails and no lie, I must have picked up 30 dresses. She assured me, there is no amount that is too much! We will find your dress!

After trying on about 20 of the dresses, Sally pointed out and said, “Jenna you definitely have a clear favourite designer as 90% of the dresses you have here are Paloma!” I just loved the fabric! At every dress I would say, “if only this dress had that neck line,” or “that dress had that belt,” or “this one was all the same material!” Sally said, “Ok Jenna there is a dress upstairs I have in mind but it’s everything you said you didn’t want in a dress” I said “What’s one more dress, let’s try it!” She bought it down and I was a bit like mmmmm it’s ok off the hanger, anyway I went out back to try it on and I literally must have seen and inch of myself in the dress in a tiny mirror, I shouted out to my maid of honor, “Emma I think this is it, this is it!” It was like I was having an out of body experience, I literally started to float, I came out and saw in the mirror! I nearly broke down, I felt beautiful, I felt like a princess, it was PERFECT and I had to have it, I was worried I wouldn’t get the “feeling” for a dress but this… was everything I wanted and more!

Once it was tailored to me, its just clung to my body like it was part of me! I knew it was mine! Then just over a year later after waiting 6 months for it to be made, I got to wear it on my wedding day! I kept my dress a secret from everybody! Only my maid of honor knew what she was like, not even my mother saw her or me in it until the big reveal, moments before I walked down the aisle! It was magical! I just want to wear it everyday!
