Joe and I both work at Bowling Green State University, which is how we met. He, as an Army ROTC Assistant Professor of Military Science, and me, and a Learning Specialist. We shared the same parking lot, and as we found out later, we shared the same gym. It wasn’t long before we knew that we were meant for each other and began dating. Due to the nature of Joe’s job, he spends each summer in Fort Knox, KY. I took care of everything here on the home front and when he returned home, we got engaged and the rest is history. We were married at Nazareth Hall which was perfect since it is an old military school. Joe, being in the Army, and me, an educator, we knew it was the perfect venue.
THE DRESS! Joe is used to seeing me all dressed up as we attend many veteran’s dinners and military balls that require floor-length gowns. He had never seen me in a strapless dress before so when I tried on Style 4606… I knew it was the one! But… my FAVORITE part… was… IT HAD POCKETS! This was PERFECT! I was able to tie my grandmother’s ring in my pocket keep it close to my heart all night long. If it weren’t for those pockets, this would not have been possible.
