Cody and I started dating in June of 2013 and got engaged in August of 2016. Right away we were thrown into probably the busiest year of our lives as we began to prepare for our wedding day! We planned, dreamed, prayed, hoped, and planned some more as August 5, 2017 approached and we got closer to the next chapter of our story together. We spent hours going over invitation samples, looking at venues, wandering around Hobby Lobby and At Home (where we always managed to find something we’d been looking for!), and looking for shoes, ties, suits, rings, and jewelry. And then there’s the dress. I spent hours trying to find my perfect dress, and it was at Altar Bridal that we finally pulled together the look I wanted. We took the top from one Mikaella dress and the bottom from another and had them put together to create EXACTLY what I wanted. I am forever grateful that Mikaella was willing to do a custom dress for me! I felt beautiful, comfortable, and confident in that amazing dress!

Our wedding day finally arrived and the planning paid off because it went off without a hitch (including the weather!)! It was a gorgeous, 75 degree, sunny, lightly breezy day, and we don’t know how we got so lucky. I’d always wanted an outdoor wedding, so we couldn’t believe we got THE most perfect day to spend together and with all of our family and friends.

It went too fast, but it was by far one of the most amazing days of our lives and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. Now we look forward to our life as a married couple as we spend time together, learn more about each other, and enjoy every bit of each other’s company!
