Once upon a time, Derek was annoyingly persistent at wanting to meet me. After months of him asking & months of me avoiding, I caved on July 17th, 2021. He popped the question June 25th, 2022 just us on the dock and took me for a boat ride and champagne to celebrate as 50 of our closest friends and family gathered for a surprise engagement party Derek had planned for me back at the house. I walked down to my happily ever after in a timeless, elegant Mikaella bridal gown on September 16th, 2023. I knew the second I saw it hanging it was the one for me. I didn’t need to try on anything more.
