Katie and Jordan

We met freshmen year of college through mutual friends and starting dating soon after. 5 years later, Jordan proposed to me while we were on a trip in New York City. Funny part was that I had planned the whole night - sightseeing, champagne dinner on top of Rockefeller Center... little did I know the hotel was helping Jordan by setting up luminaries asking "Will you marry me?" in an upgraded penthouse suite overlooking the city, complete with rose petals and tea lights covering the entire space.

NYC is a special place to us now, not only for the engagement, but the ring Jordan found happened to be four blocks away from our hotel, so the next day we went to meet the designer. I also returned to NYC with one of my best friends to experience one of our dreams - shopping for a wedding dress at Kleinfeld. It was everything we could have imagined and the first dressed I tried on there was the one I would end up buying and loving every day since.

We were married at St Paul College Club in St. Paul MN with 100 of our closest friends and family. We even had our college physics professor be our officiant. It was an intimate wedding full of love and laughter.
