The Perfect Bride

Jason Thomas Crocker

I was swiping left and right on Tinder about 5 years ago and came across the most attractive Ryan Gosling lookalike. I thought to myself, ‘no way! This will be another heartbreak and I will be single forever.’ But I swiped right and the rest was history.

My now husband, Rob, and I spent hours on the phone texting novels to each other. Our conversations were easy and special. It still seemed too good to be true. We had our first date at a local spot and talked so much that we only had one drink. Since that very cold and snowy winter Cleveland night, we have been inseparable. God had a plan for me. He gave me the sweetest, caring, loving, hardworking, saint of a man. We travelled together, moved in together, he surprised me with our fur baby Furiosa, and we started becoming the best of friends.

When it came time to pop the question, Rob sent me on a scavenger hunt around our favorite city, Cleveland.  Later that night, he led me to a wonderful celebration for what I thought was a surprise birthday party with all my family and friends. We were on the 32nd floor of the Hilton in downtown Cleveland overlooking our city we love so much. His last and final clue was asking me to be his wife. And what an honor it was. Without hesitation, I said yes!

We started planning the most magical wedding that would tell our story of love! My mom and sisters first question, the dress? We looked 2 months after he popped the question. I went to one bridal boutique and after 5-6 dresses, my mom picked out a stunner. A Paloma Blanca gown, style 4714. I knew before I even tried it on, just sitting in the dressing room on the hanger. When I tried it on, it made my heart burst and I felt so incredibly beautiful. The dress was everything I ever wanted and more. It had timeless features,  and elegant and sexy details.

When it came time for the big day, I couldn’t wait to rock my dress. It fit like a glove and it hugged all the right places. During our first look, my husband was completely blown away by my beauty. It was the dress, it’s a complete show stopper.

Our wedding was us in every way. Not just the dress or his tux, but every detail captured who we were and what we love. We got married in an art studio, because we both have an appreciation for art. The food, cocktails, dancing, florals and design elements were perfect. Our dog was even part of our big day! (She was a Bridesmaid) We didn’t have a single thing go wrong, except blistering heat in October. Which is unheard of by Lake Erie, early fall. We were surrounded by so much love and the energy showed. I wouldn’t trade my day or THE DRESS for a second. Thank you so much, everyone at Paloma Blanca, for creating my dream wedding dress.
