Maria and Robert

March 2, 2024

Rob and I met thanks to a mutual friend, we had our first date at Starbucks and lost track of time. Three hours later and we were still there talking. We realized we had everything in common and went on to falling in love while biking every street of Midtown, Atlanta, possible. Fast forward 5 years later, and Rob proposed at our favorite spot, the Active Oval at Piedmont Park in Midtown. We decided getting married in my hometown, Mar Del Plata, Argentina, would be ideal for multiple reasons but mainly in party due to how large my family is. When we chose a date that worked for us, March 2nd, 2024, we then realized that our Starbucks date had been March 1st, 2018 and we would be celebrating 6 years the day before our wedding. It truly was meant to be. Not to mention, I found my dress at the first cute boutique I decided to walk into because it’s literally down the street from the house we had just bought and moved into. I had seen their dresses online and see the boutique as I drive to and from home every day so I made an appointment with my mom and we went. I tried on the first dress and immediately knew, it was the one. For my mothers sake, I tried on a few more! Still knowing Mikaella was it, I said yes to the dress that very same day! The process of it all, even planning a wedding internationally and having 35 guests traveling from overseas to it, went so smoothly that there was no doubt that the story we have been writing, is right out of a fairytale. So there we were, March 1st at my godmothers house, 6 years later from our first date at Starbucks, celebrating at our welcome party for all of our guests who had traveled 5,158 miles to be with us. And the party had just begun, 03.02.2024 — I married the love of my life in Mar Del Plata, Argentina surrounded by all of our favorite people. We cried tears of joy, and danced until the wee hours of the morning. We are beyond thankful for every person that made it happen. Getting married in the city I was born, in the Golf Club my family grew up going to, with our families and friends from all over the world, was a dream of ours and to see it come to life was indeed a fairytale.
