Marissa and Chris

March 24, 2018

Chris and I met at Clyde’s Restaurant in our home town. I’ll never forget that night. It was Fall of 2014 and I had just made it through my first week of teaching. His chivalrous gesture of giving up his bar stool for me sparked conversation later that evening. The night was filled with good friends, dancing, and memories that will never fade. We spent almost every weekend together after that night. Eventually weeks turned into years and we knew we couldn’t be without each other.

Fast forward to January 2017, Chris and I departed for a magical trip to Disney World where I would run my first marathon. My handsome prince was there to cheer me on. Chris took me to Cinderella’s castle Friday night for a romantic dinner to celebrate the big weekend. Little did I know, he had worked with Cinderella herself to plan the whole proposal. After our waitress arrived with a glass slipper on a plate filled with rose petals, Chris got down on one knee and asked me to spend happily ever after with him. Of course, I said yes!

I have dreamed of a Walt Disney World wedding ever since I was a little girl. I’ve been so lucky to have been able to spend many family vacations in Disney. It holds a special place in my heart. My parents knew how much it meant to me to get married there, but we honestly didn’t think it would be possible. I’m so incredibly grateful to my parents for everything they did to make my fairy tale wedding a reality. Once we had the date and venue secured, I knew I had to find the perfect wedding dress. I honestly never thought I would end up in a ballgown, but when I found style 4610 online I just knew it was the one. Unfortunately no bridal boutique in my area carried the sample. Love Couture Bridal was so incredible to work with Paloma Blanca and get the sample shipped to their store for me to try on. Just as I had suspected, it was absolutely perfect!

Words cannot express how magical our wedding day was. Disney Fairy Tale Weddings went above and beyond to make Chris and I, our families, and guests feel like royalty. Our dreams really did come true that day and we are loving our happily ever after together.
