Mary Beth and Fred

After 8 years (to the day) of being with my boyfriend we finally got engaged. It was a long 8 years at times as he is in the military and often requires a very demanding, yet flexible life style. You would think after 8 years of being together we would know exactly what we wanted for our wedding, well when the time came we had absolutely no idea. Nor did we know when we wanted to do it. We looked at a few venues and none of them we were impressed by, when we walked into the Wychmere Beach Club we immediately knew it was the place, and took a date 9 months out. Much like finding my dress. I had no idea what I wanted and knew I would have an extremely difficult time because I am very indecisive. After my first dress shopping experience being a total nightmare, last minute my mom suggested we go to New York Lace in Taunton Ma. After about the 5th or 6th dress my stylist brought in a Mikaella dress. I looked at it in the bag and thought there is no chance I'm wasting my time to put this on. In my mind it looked like rags. She convinced me to try it on, and god am I glad I did. I immediately fell in love with the dress. It was soft, light, comfortable and so different than others I had seen and tried, not to mention not at all what I thought I would get. I walked out into the big room and my mom said "that is the dress" and began to cry. My sisters agreed and It became my dress. I am forever thankful that day I took the chance and tried on this beautiful gown. I looked forward to every dress fitting (there were a lot to get it just right), and could not wait to wear put this dress on the day of. I wish I could wear it everyday!
