Michael and I met when we both found ourselves at our local young adult church group on a Thursday night two years ago. We were numbered off into random discussion groups that night and ended up at the same table. The rest is history! We pretty much knew within a month that we were each other’s person, but dated for two years before he popped the question in May of 2023! I know what your thinking… how did you plan a wedding in 5 months? Easy, I didn’t! We pre-planned most of our wedding before our engagement! With how the wedding industry is today, we knew we had to book our vendors well in advanced! That included my dress!

In December of 2022, my mother and I went to the one place we always knew we could find the perfect dress for any occasion. The White Room in Lebanon, Tennessee. The White Room is where I found all of my homecoming and prom dresses. I found it fitting to find my dream wedding dress where I grew up! When it came to the style I was looking for, I wanted a classic, timeless look. I wanted a dress that I could look back on in 20 years, and still feel like I would wear it all over again. Crazy enough, the dress I ended up picking by Mikaella Bridal was the very first dress I tried on! I tried on other dresses, but nothing compared to this dress. Not only was it gorgeous, but it was SO COMFORTABLE! I wore the dress all night and did not want to take it off! I LOVED how I could pin back the sleeves for the reception as a second look! I danced all night long feeling the most beautiful I have ever felt! After the wedding day, everyone was raving about my dress. They loved it as much as I did!
