Michelle and Brett

July 8, 2017

Brett and I met the good old fashion way; at a bar! He saw me across the room and just had to come say hi. This was in November of 2012.

Fast forward 5 years, we’ve settled down in the delightful historic town of Port Hope, Ontario. We got engaged just before Christmas 2015 and planned a long engagement, both knowing we wanted to get married at the stunning Parkwood Estate, the home of the original auto baron Robert McLaughlin, now a historical site. We went for a classic wedding style, nothing too fancy, simple, elegant, timeless. White flowers, minimal decor, simple color palette. Our reception was held in the Robert McLaughlin Art Gallery (RMG) in Oshawa, Ontario where our caterer, Pilar’s Catering, treated guests to delicious comfort foods including macaroni and cheese and funnel cakes in a food station format. Dancing the night away we started our happily ever after!

Thank you for designing the gorgeous dress that was the envy of all. I’ll never forget the gasp from the crowd as I made my way to aisle!
