I wanted to share with you the story of finding my dress! I had tried on at least 30 dresses in 2 days. I was tired and overwhelmed by not finding THE dress. By the time I got to Lace Bridal Couture in Reading, OH I was so frustrated. They asked me what kind of gown I wanted and I couldn’t give them a clear answer, I felt very defeated. My consultant pulled a dressed based on the description of some of the dresses I liked, I couldn’t take my eye off of it as I tried on other gowns. Finally I stepped into Style 4754 and my heart was so full of joy, I hadn’t even seen it yet (no mirrors in the dressing room) and it already felt like THE ONE!

Upon showing my mom and aunt we all smiled and glowed with excitement. We asked who the designer was and my consultant said Paloma Blanca, we burst out with joyful giggles. You see doves have a VERY special place in our hearts. My grandma passed away when I was young but she has been a solid figure in my life nonetheless. All the women on my mom’s side of the family refer to ourselves as the Dove Club, this stands for Daughters of Velma (my grandma’s name). We couldn’t believe we had unknowingly fallen in love with a Paloma Blanca. All summer my family had been listening to a silly song from the 1970’s called Una Paloma Blanca, we danced around and always laughed when listening to it. It sounds like a strange connection but this dress meant more to me than just a typical wedding dress. To top it all off we found out that your lace is made in Canada and my grandma is from Prince Edward Island. You gave me more than a wedding dress, you gave me a new way to connect to my beloved grandma, for the first time in 20 years I could practically feel her warm embrace and I just wanted to say thank you!
