Tanya and Kyle

October 7, 2017

Kyle and I met at work and had our first date at a local sushi restaurant where I actually choked (awful I know) on a piece of sushi on our first date! He literally had to give me the Heimlich Maneuver in front of the whole restaurant, (SO embarrassing!) thankfully I’m okay due to his quick actions and help from a few doctors at dinner that night but it makes for a great first date story!

We went on a trip to the Dominican Republic and Kyle had a romantic private dinner on the beach planned which is also where he proposed! I couldn’t have asked for a more romantic engagement setting or a more perfect ring! He got me a round solitaire diamond in a rose gold setting, which is exactly what I wanted!

I had the MOST perfect experience picking out my dress, I knew I wanted sleeves and none of the dresses with sleeves were really doing anything for me. I traveled to New Bern and went to Thornbury Brides which is where Nell Todd (owner) helped me to find my dream dress, only it didn’t have sleeves but she saved the day when she said it could be customized with them! She made me feel like a queen every time I visited her store. We changed the style from champagne colored to all ivory and we added sleeves as well! I felt like a princess the entire day on my wedding and it was thanks to my Paloma Blanca dress and Veil and Thornbury Brides for helping me create my dream dress!
