Vanessa and Torry

Torry and I met just after high school through mutual friends. We had been dating for 9 years when Torry finally proposed. As you can imagine the general reactions from our friends and families was "finally". Torry proposed to me by the lake at his family cottage with just the two of us on July 23rd, 2017.

I always imagined myself in a ball gown with lots of tulle. I tried many dresses like that on, but instantly fell in love with this Mikaella dress. Because it was so different from what I imagined, I took a couple days, tried on some dresses at other stores, but couldn't get this dress out of my head. All my friends and family agreed this dress was meant for me, and the fact that it is from a Canadian designer was a great bonus! After I purchased the dress I saw on your instagram the photo of "made with love in Canada". This just solidified that I was meant to wear one of your dresses. My husband and I give handmade birthday cards and I have always signed them "made for you with love"

My husband and I got married in Las Vegas. It is my husbands favourite place to visit and we wanted our wedding to be a weekend of fun, not just a day. And I will tell you we had the best weekend of our lives. We invited just 35 people to join us and it was everything we imagined, the best part obviously being my dress! Attached is a photo from our first look. Torry's reaction was breath taking. He LOVED my dress and was so surprised, as he always assumed I would also wear lots of tulle.
