I had no idea, but the week or 2 before Jeff asked me to marry him he went to each of our children (all 7 of them) and asked them for their blessing as well as my father. Jeff said this was a very exciting time for him and he loved how happy each and every one of them were for us. He took me away for the weekend and proposed to me kneeling on both knees on the balcony of our room. We had the best weekend and I couldn’t wait to become Jeff’s wife.

We began to plan our wedding and it was the perfect excuse to take our entire family on vacation. We had a destination wedding at the Royalton Riviera Cancun in Mexico. Jeff and I had traveled to that resort 2 years prior and absolutely loved it there. Our wedding day was perfect. The weather was great, the venue, the food, the company and of course our love made it amazing. I couldn’t be happier.
