Sarah and Dale

Couple’s Wedding Story:

Dale and I were set up by a mutual friend during the Summer of 2020 at the height of the pandemic. We are both in our late 30s, but we are both romantics, so cynicism surrounding love hadn’t quite kicked in yet. The evening we met, we approached with caution in our minds but hope in our hearts. We had an immediate bond and have been inseparable ever since. He proposed in June of 2021 and we married in January of 2022. Dale once made me dinner at home and dressed up in a suit jacket and brought me flowers to feel like a real date during high COVID. When I share sadness, concern, worries, he always has the most compassionate and reassuring response. I am constantly taken aback by his kindness and gentleness not just to me but to everyone.

He likes me most with minimal makeup and relaxed clothing, and that’s how I feel most beautiful as well, so when I went searching for a dress, I knew I wanted to feel beautiful, but not let the dress pull focus for either of us. Being a plus sized bride, I didn’t think the classic, buttery fabric look would work for my body type. When I came across this dress at the boutique, I looked at my Mom and almost moved on, but she pulled it for me. I tried it on and new immediately it was the one. Every guest I hugged couldn’t help but to feel the buttery fabric. Thank you for designing such a simple yet elegant gown!
