We met in summer 2015 at High Sierra Music Festival in Quincy, CA. We became quick buddies and danced, laughed, and sang all weekend long with our friends. It wasn’t until a few weeks later, after meeting up at a live music show in San Francisco, that we realized maybe the two of us were meant to be something more.
Six years later, surrounded by our dearest friends – who have all played an important role in our relationship – Alex (aka: Theo) surprised everybody by getting down on one knee and proposing to me. That was the happiest day of my life – until my wedding day at least.
Nearly a year of planning and it was worth it. The whole wedding celebration was truly amazing; we have never been surrounded by that much love before. Close friends, old friends, family from near and far, all gathered in a small town in eastern Tennessee (where Alisan’s family is from) to witness our love and devotion and support us, and that was incredibly special.
And of course, I was so excited to finally party the night away with all my loved ones in the most epic gorgeous wedding dress. Typically I dress in a more boho, casual look, but for my wedding dress, I wanted to pick something that made me feel glamorous, sexy, and ready to dance! The dance floor is where we were most of our wedding, and it was a blast. 10/10 would do it all over again. Major shout-out to our hardworking and awesome vendors, and to our friends and family for being there for us.
